About Us
Troop 60 is a youth-led Scout Troop founded in 2011, serving the boys of the Lake Cities, including Shady Shores, Corinth, Lake Dallas, and Denton. The troop uses the Patrol Method and emphasizes a youth-led approach, empowering scouts to take charge of their learning and growth.
Troop 60 camps every month, previous campouts have focused on topics as varied as backpacking to wakeboarding. Troop 60 attends a weeklong Scout Summer Camp every June and offers High Adventure opportunities to older youth, including trips to BSA High Adventure Bases like Philmont and Seabase.
Troop 60 partners with Pack 60 and Crew 60 to serve youth from Kindergarten to 21.
Troop 60 is a member of the Frontier Trails District of the Longhorn Council and is chartered by Shady Shores Baptist Church.

Weekly Troop Meetings

Troop 60 holds weekly troop meetings every Wednesday from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Shady Shores Baptist Church, feel free to stop by anytime.

Troop Campouts
Troop 60 has monthly weekend adventures, where we do all kinds of things, from Camporees to biking to fishing, these are the most fun part of the troop!

Service Projects
The Troop does regular service projects where we support our community. These aren't required, but they're the only way to get service hours!
Annually
Summer Camp
Troop 60 does yearly week-long summer camps at closeby scout ranches, these are a great chance to get tons of merit badges, so be sure to sign up!

Troop 60 serves 11 - 18 year old boys who live in the Lake Cities. We meet every Wednesday at 6:30 pm at Shady Shores Baptist Church. Shady Shores Baptist Church is located at 401 W Shady Shores Rd, Shady Shores, TX 76208

Pack 60 serves Kindergarten through 5th grade youth. We meet Mondays at 6:30 at Shady Shores Baptist Church.

Crew 60 provides High Adventure opportunities for 14 - 21 year olds. We meet every other Friday at 6:30 at Shady Shores Baptist Church.
